The Queensland Maroons had a very special guest at their captain's run ahead of Origin One when brave NRL superfan Mason joined them at Suncorp Stadium.
With the help of the Maroons players and staff, Make-A-Wish Australia was able to grant eight-year-old Mason's wish to meet the Queensland team, watch them train and go to the game on Wednesday night.
Maroons forward Pat Carrigan took Mason onto the field where the team was training and he was able to talk tactics with coach Billy Slater.
Mason had also brought with him some amazing pictures and a letter to his favourite players, who include Tom Dearden, Daly Cherry-Evans and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.
He was also presented with a signed jersey from his favourite team, the Brisbane Broncos.

"Mason will be over the moon once he sits tonight and thinks about what he has experienced today. We can’t thank you enough for all this, it’s more than what we could ever ask for," said mum Taneil and dad Mark.
Mason loves Suncorp Stadium so much that he often asks to drive past 'The Cauldron' on the way home from his medical appointments.
And on Wednesday night he will be there with his mum and his sister sitting right on halfway to soak up the atmosphere of another sensational Origin showdown.
Mason's mum said he loves yelling out 'Go Queensland' and she can hear him commentating the plays out loud when he plays football in the backyard.

On Wednesday night he gets the chance to scream for Billy Slater's boys from close range as he cheers them on against the Blues.
