Sharks v Dolphins: Atkinson joins bench; SOS for Sean

The Cronulla Sharks are determined to return to form when they take on the Dolphins on Friday night.

Both sides are coming off the bye, so are well-rested for what should be a high-quality affair between two teams looking to make a charge to the finals.

Cronulla have lost two in a row amid a challenging mid-season stretch, however they are always tough to beat on home turf.

The Dolphins claimed a dominant victory over South Sydney before last week's bye and can solidify their place inside the top-eight with a win on Friday night.

The loss of Kodi Nikorima to a hamstring injury will likely see halfback Isaiya Katoa take on a greater playmaking role.

The emerging talent spent the past week in camp with the NSW Blues and will have emerged from the stint with plenty of confidence.

Team News

Sharks: Just the one change to the side that lost to the Storm before the bye with Daniel Atkinson coming onto the bench at the expense of Billy Burns.

Dolphins: The loss of Kodi Nikorima to a hamstring injury sees Sean O'Sullivan return to the side in the No.6 jersey. O'Sullivan's last NRL appearance was Round 9 against the Roosters. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has been named in the No.1 jersey to back up from Origin Three while Max Feagai shifts to centre and Jake Averillo to the wing in a backline swap while Mark Nicholls has been named to start at prop after coming off the bench against the Rabbitohs. After two games back in Queensland Cup, livewire Trai Fuller is listed among the reserves as he chases his first NRL appearance since Round 27 last year.
