With an epic Origin series done and dusted the attention shifts to the final nine rounds of the NRL season and the race for the finals.

Which Origin players will back up for their clubs in Round 19 and which ones will take a well-earned rest?

Warriors coach Andrew Webster indicated that Maroons star Kurt Capewell could be given a break this weekend while Blues and Bulldogs centre Stephen Crichton won't back up in Townsville.

A blow for the Cowboys on Friday with five-eighth Jake Clifford dropping out with a quad injury.

Knights: A couple of big ins with Greg Marzhew (arm) and Leo Thompson (suspension) back on deck. Thompson's return from a four-game ban sees Tyson Frizell revert to lock, Phoenix Crossland go to hooker and Jayden Brailey to the bench. With skipper Kalyn Ponga sidelined by a foot injury, young gun Fletcher Hunt wears the No.1 jersey for the second time having played there in Round 15 against the Roosters. No changes to the 17 a day out from the game with Tom Cant and James Schiller the remaining players on the extended bench when trimmed to 19.

Storm: Ryan Papenhuyzen has failed to recover from calf tightness so Nick Meaney will fill in at fullback again. Jack Howarth has recovered from appendicitis and is the new centre and Kane Bradley comes onto the wing with last week's debutant Siulagi Tuimalatu-Brown moving to 18th player. Queensland forward Trent Loiero will back up and has been added to the interchange bench in place of Lazarus Vaalepu, while Harry Grant remains in the squad of 19.

Warriors: Taine Tuaupiki lines up at fullback in his first NRL game since Round 10 with Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad nursing a knee injury. The loss of halfback Luke Metcalf to a season-ending knee injury brings Tanah Boyd into the side while flying winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has been named to make an early return from an ankle injury. "Dallin still has to tick some boxes later in the week in training but he looks ready to go," coach Andrew Webster said. Gun centre Ali Leiataua will return from an ankle injury via NSW Cup. The Warriors have won their past eight games against Wests Tigers.

Wests Tigers: Skipper Jarome Luai will look to back up four days after the Origin decider so Adam Doueihi returns to the centres and Luke Laulilii drops out. Hooker Api Koroisau returns from concussion while Jack Bird comes back in on the bench after being a late withdrawal last week due to illness.
