Eels: Round 21
Full-time: Parramatta have claimed the upset of the season, stunning the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium. It was a thrilling finish, with the home fans erupting when Reece Walsh looked to have scored a last-minute match-winner. The fullback, however, was offside and the Eels hold on to secure a two-point win.
The win is the latest sign of Jason Ryles' rebuild, with the coach spending the year laying the foundations for future success. Halfback Mitchell Moses was superb in his return from a calf injury, while Zac Lomax scored a double and came up with multiple clutch plays. Broncos 20 - Eels 22.
80th minute: Drama at Suncorp Stadium. Reece Walsh thought he had won his side the game with an 80th minute try, however the fullback was in front of the kicker and the Bunker has disallowed the try. There are 43 seconds left on the clock, Parramatta just need to hold on to the ball now. Broncos 20 - Eels 22.
78th minute: Another big defensive set by the Eels. The Broncos are throwing plenty at their opponents but Parramatta are bending without breaking. Two minutes to go. Brisbane will likely have two more chances with the ball. Broncos 20 - Eels 22.

73rd minute: Big missed opportunity for the Broncos. Kotoni Staggs broke through down the right flank before he was dragged down by Joash Papalii. There was some confusion on the next play, with Brisbane eventually receiving a set restart for offside. The attacking play evaporated soon after, with Gehamat Shibasaki spilling the ball. Broncos 20 - Eels 22.
71st minute: The Broncos are rolling down the field with plenty of momentum, producing multiple quick play the balls to put their opponents under pressure. Brisbane's last-tackle execution, however, has let them down and allows the Eels to hold firm. With nine minutes to play, time is now becoming a factor for the hosts. Broncos 20 - Eels 22.
Josh Addo-Carr Try
65th minute: This time there's no stopping Josh Addo-Carr and he has his 150th career try. Zac Lomax can take plenty of credit for the try, the winger plucking a Mitchell Moses bomb out of the air and earning a repeat set for his side. The Eels capitalised, with Addo-Carr scoring in the left corner to put his team in front. Broncos 20 - Eels 22.
Billy Walters Try
60th minute: Haas' return has had an immediate impact, the prop producing a quick play the ball to provide space for Reece Walsh to jink his way through the Eels defensive line. Billy Walters was looming up in support and held off desperate defenders to score. The kick was successful and Brisbane are back on top. Broncos 20 - Eels 18.
59th minute: A big moment for the Broncos, with Michael Maguire sending Payne Haas back on to the field. The prop will look to swing this game in his side's favour as they attempt to finish over the top of the Eels. Broncos 14 - Eels 18.
56th minute: Who wins a battle between a Fox and a Stag? We now have an answer, with Kotoni Staggs stopping a charging Josh Addo-Carr in his tracks. With some help from Reece Walsh, the Broncos centre bundled Addo-Carr into touch to deny a try. Parramatta challenged the ruling, arguing an illegal tackle, but it was quickly dismissed by the Bunker. Broncos 14 - Eels 18.
53rd minute: Brisbane had their chances, aided by a penalty and a set restart but the Eels were too good. Adam Reynolds went for an all-or-nothing play, but Josh Addo-Carr was wise to the move and intercepted the cut-out pass. Broncos 14 - Eels 18.
50th minute: We're off to the Bunker for a Captain's Challenge. The on-field ruling was a Kotoni Staggs knock on however the video referee determined he held on to the ball and he will now play the ball. It's a big call and allows the Broncos to continue building pressure. That they do, with hosts forcing a line dropout. Broncos 14 - Eels 18.
48th minute: The Broncos continue to put themselves under pressure, with another error handing the Eels possession. This time Brisbane held on, forcing an error from Will Penisini was dragged towards the sideline. A reward for the effort came shortly after, with the hosts receiving a penalty and much better field position. Broncos 14 - Eels 18.
Zac Lomax 2nd Try
44th minute: The Eels have struck first after the break. A loose pass from Reece Walsh handed the visitors the ball with excellent field position and they showed a desire to be more creative with ball in hand. Parramatta went from the left edge to the right, with Zac Lomax finishing it off in the corner to score his second. Broncos 14 - Eels 18
Kick-off: We are back underway at Suncorp Stadium, with the hosts having first use of the ball. It was an entertaining first half but the Broncos have lifted the intensity with their first set of the second stanza. We'll find out soon if the Eels can go with them. Broncos 14 - Eels 12.
Half-time: That is half-time in an entertaining contest at Suncorp Stadium, with the Broncos holding on to a two-point lead at the break. Mitchell Moses' return has provided a major boost to the Eels and his kicking game has been superb through the opening 40.
As for the hosts, Adam Reynolds was taking some deep breaths after racing 75 metres to score an intercept try. He wasn't finished though and set up Kobe Hetherington for the forward's first four-pointer of the season. Broncos 14 - Eels 12.
Zac Lomax Try
37th minute: Two perfect Mitchell Moses kicks to Zac Lomax have laid the platform for Parramatta's second of the night. The first led to a penalty, with Gehamat Shibasaki penalised for an escort on Lomax. The second directly led to points, with Moses producing a pinpoint cross-field kick for Lomax to dive, catch and ground in the one motion. It's a big play in the context of this game, with half-time just minutes away. Broncos 14 - Eels 12.
Kobe Hetherington Try
34th minute: Haas' issues haven't slowed the Broncos, with Kobe Hetherington latching on to an inside ball from Adam Reynolds to burst through the defensive line and score his first try of the season. Broncos 14 - Eels 8.
29th minute: Mixed news for the Broncos. On the field, they've successfully defended their own line to repel the Eels but off the field Payne Haas has headed up the tunnel after being replaced. No word yet on the issue but we'll keep you update. Broncos 8 - Eels 8.
Adam Reynolds Try
25th minute: He's a veteran but Adam Renolds still has plenty of speed, taking an intercept and racing 75 metres towards the try line. Reynolds was dragged down but had enough momentum to slide over the line and score his side's first of the night. Broncos 8 - Eels 8.
Sean Russell Try
22nd minute: Let the ball bounce at your peril. That's the lesson the Broncos are learning after Reece Walsh and Jesse Arthars let a towering Mitchell Moses bomb bounce. The ball bounced straight into Sean Russell's hands, who produced a superb chip and chase to score the opening try of the night. Broncos 2 - Eels 8
16th minute: We are back level after Adam Reynolds kicked a penalty goal of his own to make it 2-2. The penalty came after Josh Addo-Carr was penalised for an escort. Broncos 2 - Eels 2.

Broncos come out strong on defence
7th minute: The two teams may be at different ends of the ladder but the intensity has been high through the opening exchanges at Suncorp Stadium. Parramatta had the first attacking opportunity of the contest, only for Zac Lomax to be dragged out. The Eels, however, have also aimed up in defence to make for a physical seven minutes. Broncos 0 - Eels 0.
Kick-off: After a chaotic game in Townsville, we are straight off to Brisbane for the second leg of an all-Queensland double-header. The Broncos have been rolling throughout the past couple of months and this game is a big opportunity to continue their charge towards the top four. Parramatta have received a major boost, with Mitchell Moses back from a calf injury. Broncos 0 - Eels 0.
Late Mail
Broncos: Winger Jesse Arthars is set to complete his comeback from a rib injury, with the Broncos also preparing to welcome back powerhouse prop Payne Haas. Eels: Star halfback Mitchell Moses will return from a calf injury that has kept him sidelined since Round 14. The playmaker will combine with Dean Hawkins in the halves after Joash Papalii shifted to fullback to replace the injured Isaiah Iongi (thumb). Departing five-eighth Dylan Brown dropped out of the extended squad when it was cut to 18 on game day, with Jordan Samrani the replacement player.

Dragons: Round 21
Cowboys: Round 21
Full-time: The Cowboys have held off a fast-finishing Dragons side to secure a tense victory at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. It was a truly bizarre 80 minutes, with 13 tries and multiple momentum swings but in the end, North Queensland come away with the two points.
78th minute: Dare to dream Dragons fans. Some enterprising attack led to a David Klemmer offload, with Jacob Liddle pouncing on to the ball to score his second. It's a six-point ball game with 2:24 to play. Cowboys 38 - Dragons 32.
77th minute: A Cowboys Captain's Challenge after a one-on-one strip by Damien Cook, however the Bunker ruled in the Dragons favour and they have a chance to set up a grandstand finish. Cowboys 38 - Dragons 26.
76th minute: It's all going pear shaped for the Dragons now. A short kick-off was claimed by Robert Derby before he stood in the tackle, offloaded the ball and Braidon Burns charged to the space on the left edge. A pass to Jaxon Purdue followed and their was no stopping the speedster. The lead remains 12 but it would take a minor miracle for St George Illawarra to win from here. Cowboys 38 - Dragons 26.
75th minute: North Queensland rolled through the middle in the first half and they've returned to what worked with the game on the line. A charge by Coen Hess off the kick-off set the tone for the set with the Cowboys working their way into attacking field position. A penalty for ruck interference followed and Scott Drinkwater calmly slotted the two points to kick his side's lead out to eight. Cowboys 34 - Dragons 26.
72nd minute: The Cowboys needed someone to step up and surprise, surprise, it's Tom Dearden. A series of strong carries through the middle had North Queensland on the front foot, Dearden looked up, saw a retreating defence and capitalised to slice through for a crucial try. The conversion attempt is waved away, and the lead is six with eight to play. Cowboys 32 - Dragons 26.
69th minute: A blow for the Dragons, with Jaydn Su'A ruled out for the rest of the contest after succumbing to the knee injury he suffered earlier in the second half. The Cowboys have steadied the ship slightly as they look to hold off their opponents. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 26.
Jacob Liddle Try
65th minute: Close the gap they do. A quick play the ball from Hamish Stewart allowed Jacob Liddle to dart from dummy half and he took advantage of a retreating Cowboys defensive to score next to the posts. It's been all Dragons for the past 15 minutes and they now trail by just two with 14 minutes to play in Townsville. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 26.
64th minute: Big Dave Klemmer is fired up after forcing a Cowboys error and the Dragons have another chance to close the gap. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 20.
Tyrell Sloann 2nd Try
59th minute: The Dragons are back and they continue to take advantage of the Cowboys' shaky edge defence. This time it's a right-edge raid, with Tyrell Sloan racing to the corner to score his second of the night. That's two tries in three minutes and we have a match on our hands. Kyle Flanagan's sideline conversion was off the mark and it remains a two-possession game. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 20.
58th minute: We have our first Captain's Challenge of the night, with Grant Atkins ruling Jacob Liddle had dropped the ball in a tackle. Clint Gutherson instantly challenged and the decision was quickly overturned and the Dragons handed a penalty for a strip. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 16.
Corey Allan Try
56th minute: It's been a clunky start to the second half but the Dragons have scored first as they look to launch a comeback bid in Townsville. It was a well-worked left shift, with Corey Allan finishing it off out wide. Kyle Flanagan's conversion clatters into the post and the deficit is 12. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 16.

Cowboys back-rower Karl Lawton was placed on report for the hip-drop tackle but St George Illawarra weren't able to capitalise on the field possession that came from the penalty. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 12.
51st minute: We're back to the Bunker after a race for the ball in the in-goal. A Cowboys kick saw Corey Allan attempt to knock the ball dead, with Robert Derby knocking it forward while trying to ground the ball. The end result is no try and a seven-tackle set for the Dragons. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 12.
46th minute: The Dragons continue to put themselves under pressure, with an error followed by a penalty handing the Cowboys a chance to kick further clear. Klye Flanagan, however, produced an important tackle to hold up Reuben Cotter before North Queensland turned the ball over a couple of plays later. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 12.
42nd minute: A crucial defensive stand by the Cowboys, who repelled their opponents before safely securing a bomb. The Dragons have received a boost, with Corey Allan returning to the field after passing his HIA. Braidon Burns has also passed his HIA and is back out there. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 12.
Kick-off: We are back for the second half and the Dragons have plenty of work to do if they are going to work their way back into this contest. Three tries in the final seven minutes of the first half swung the game in the Cowboys favour and St George Illawarra need to score first. The visitors also need to tighten up their defensive, if they are to slow a rampant North Queensland attack.
The first play of the half is exactly what Shane Flanagan ordered, with the Dragons bundling the Cowboys into touch and straight on the attack. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 12.
Jeremiah Nanai Try
Half-time: The Cowboys have delivered another crucial blow, with Jeremiah Nanai scoring after the half-time siren to stretch the lead out to 16. Nanai's try was the hosts second in the space of two minutes and third in the final seven minutes of the half, as North Queensland turned a 12-12 deadlock into a 28-12 half-time lead.
Halfback Tom Dearden has picked apart the Dragons defence, while Reece Robson has been sniping around the ruck on the back of a rampaging forward pack. Cowboys 28 - Dragons 12.
Scott Drinkwater Try
39th minute: The joy was short-lived for St George Illawarra, with Tom Dearden making another break to send Scott Drinkwater over for a crucial try on the stroke of half-time. The lead is back up to 12. Cowboys 24 - Dragons 12.
37th minute: The Dragons have dodged another bullet in the dying minutes of this half, after Robert Derby's elbow grazed the sideline. After a Tom Dearden break put the Cowboys back on the attack, the hosts attacked down the right flank. St George Illawarra looked to have it covered, with three defenders dragging Derby towards the sideline before they fell off him and the winger got back up and grounded the ball. The referee initially awarded the try, but the Bunker overturned the decision after replays showed his elbow had just touched the sideline.
More concern for the Dragons, with Corey Allan leaving the field for an HIA. Cowboys 18 - Dragons 12.
Coen Hess Try
34th minute: An excellent response from the Cowboys, who have blasted the Dragons off the park through the middle of the field. Halfback Tom Dearden forced another line dropout before Coen Hess crashed over from short range to put his team back in front. Cowboys 18 - Dragons 12.
31st minute: The Dragons have survived a scare after Griffin Neame looked to charge over from close range. The referee, however, ruled the pass from Reece Robson was forward. Cowboys 12 - Dragons 12.
Mathew Feagai Try

26th minute: We're off to the Bunker for the first time tonight after Damien Cook looked to burrow over amid a messy play the ball. The Dragons had received a set restart for ruck interference before the Cowboys converged to deny Cook. The hooker will play the ball with another fresh set of six to follow. Cowboys 12 - Dragons 6.
24th minute: Another attacking opportunity coming up for the Dragons, after Corey Allan made a break down the left flank. The winger was dragged down, however Lyhkan King-Togia was held back in support. A penalty and a fresh set of six follows. Cowboys 12 - Dragons 6.
Tyrell Sloan Try
19th minute: North Queensland looked vulnerable on the edges throughout the opening 10 minutes, however the Dragons' execution was slightly off the mark. There were no issues this time, with Moses Suli providing a great pass to Tyrell Sloan, who crossed untouched.
Some slight concern for Jack de Belin, who has left the field and gone straight up the tunnel with a rib injury. Cowboys 12 - Dragons 6.
18th minute: Big opportunity coming up for the Dragons. The Cowboys forced a repeat set, however they were not able to gather the line drop out. Now St George Illawarra have received a penalty and a chance to work their way into attacking territory. Cowboys 12 - Dragons 0.
14th minute: The pressure on St George Illawarra continues to build. A 40-20 attempt from Scott Drinkwater was slightly off-target, with the ball rolling into the in-goal before sitting up. Clint Gutherson hoped it would go dead, was forced to pick it up and was promptly tackled in the in-goal. North Queensland have another attacking set. Cowboys 12 - Dragons 0.
Tom Dearden Try
12th minute: The Dragons' defensive resolve was short-lived, with Reece Robson catching the markers napping to break through the defensive line before sending Tom Dearden over for a simple try. Cowboys 12 - Dragons 0
10th minute: This time it's the Dragons turn to defend their own line. The Cowboys have all the running on the back of Zac Laybutt's try and quickly found themselves back in attacking territory. Griffin Neame came agonisingly close before he was desperately dragged down. It was the last and St George Illawarra survive. Cowboys 6 - Dragons 0.
Zac Laybutt Try
6th minute: The Cowboys have weathered an early storm, defending two sets on their own line before a Braidon Burns kick-return delivered the hosts attacking field position. Zac Laybutt did the rest, hitting the line hard across the grain to slice the Dragons open and score the first points of the night. Cowboys 6 - Dragons 0.
Kick off: We are underway at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, with both teams desperate to keep their finals hopes alive. The Dragons had their hearts broken by the Bulldogs last week and they'll be aiming to finally win a close match after a number of tight losses. As for North Queensland, they have had no issues scoring points this year but their defence has let them down on too many occasions.
It's a nightmare start for the Cowboys, with Jaxon Purdue putting the opening kick off dead on the full. Cowboys 0 - Dragons 0.
