The Parramatta Eels enter Friday’s clash with the Bulldogs needing a win to keep their finals hopes alive.

Last week’s dominant win over the Tigers pulled the Eels within one point of the sixth-placed Titans with one game left in the season.

A win over Canterbury will lift Parramatta into sixth before Gold Coast’s clash with Canberra on Saturday.

The Bulldogs also remain a mathematical chance of playing finals football after they stunned the Sharks last week.

A lot will have to go right for that to happen, with Canterbury two points behind the Titans on the ladder but facing a 92-point for and against deficit heading into Round 11.

The Bulldogs have shown they can match it with the top teams in the competition and have displayed a gritty, defensive mindset throughout their first season in the NRLW.

Team News

Eels: No further changes on game day after skipper Mahalia Murphy was withdrawn from the second row a day out from the game. England international Paige Travis starts the game with Fontayne Tufuga promoted to the bench. Taneka Todhunter is the 18th player. Earlier, Elsie Albert is set to return from an ankle injury that forced her out of last week's win over Wests Tigers. The prop's return will see Boss Kapua shift to the interchange. Parramatta need a win and a Titans loss to climb into the top six.

Bulldogs: A late change with Pani Hopoate being rested and Hope Millard joining the bench. Holli Wheeler will start at prop after coming off the bench in the past two games. The Bulldogs need a big win to keep their slim finals hopes alive.
