Although the finals may be out of reach for both Wests Tigers and the Warriors, there is plenty to play for in the final match of the season for both teams.

Tigers star forward Sala Togatuki has already spoken about the meaning this game holds for her due to her desire to see coach Brett Kimmorley out on a high note.

Kimmorley, who was appointed in 2023 as the club’s inaugural NRLW coach, will step away at season's end.

While it will be the end of an era for the Tigers, it feels like a new beginning for the Warriors who returned to the NRLW competition this season.

In their first year back, while they have struggled to achieve consistent winning results, the side have shown the future looks bright for women's rugby league in New Zealand after unearthing some fresh young talent from their pathways and amongst their rugby union converts.

Team News

Wests Tigers: No further game day changes after back-rower Portia Bourke dropped out of the side on Saturday. Tara Reinke will start at lock and Iemaima Etuale joins the bench. In his final game in charge, Brett Kimmorley has turned to Evie McGrath to replace Caitlin Turnbull (head knock) at fullback. Salma Nour is set to start at hooker, while back-rower Montana Clifford is preparing for her first game since Round 6. Jessikah Reeves is 18th player.

Warriors: The Warriors are 1-17 with no late changes for the final game of their comeback NRLW season. Tysha Ikenasio and Laishon Albert-Jones have come straight back into the side in their return from suspension but star playmaker Patricia Maliepo is out with a hamstring injury. Lydia Turua-Quedley will line up at halfback, with Emmanita Paki shifting to five-eighth. Maarire Puketapu has also been ruled out after suffering a head knock last week. Makayla Eli is the 18th player.
