A talented halfback, Puru joined the Sharks ahead of 2023 after climbing the junior ranks at Penrith. A laser-like goalkicker, he helped guide the Newtown Jets to the 2024 NSW Cup premiership. The playmaker is joined by twin brother Hohepa in Cronulla's 2025 NRL squad.
